Blackberry Bold 9900 - An impressive touch-cum-keyboard Blackberry phone!

Blackberry Bold 9900 is one of the latest smartphones launched by RIM. The handset was released alongside a number of other Blackberry handsets. Blackberry has been a hugely successful brand not just in UK but the world over. Blackberry devices are the preferred smartphones especially in the business circles. The devices offer certain unique messaging features that make them popular.

However, of late, the brand has taken some beating. With the rise of touchscreen devices, RIM has lost some of its market share. To counter this, the company has introduced touchscreen technology in its devices. Blackberry Bold 9900 is one such device that combines the touchscreen technology with qwerty keyboard.

Unlike the sliding design that we have seen in some of the other Blackberry touchscreen devices, this latest phone has a traditional Blackberry design. The device has a 2.8 inch touchscreen and below is the qwerty keyboard. The TFT capacitive touchscreen responds well and provides a decent resolution of 640x480 pixels. The qwerty keyboard of the device is as good as we have seen on other Blackberry devices. The build-quality is excellent and the keys are raised. There is good space between the keys. All this makes keys easier to press and as a result the typing speed remains good.

Apart from the screen and the keyboard, the device has a lot of other features. The device runs on the latest Blackberry 7 OS. The latest OS allow the users to enjoy new features and the whole experience of using the device is much more pleasurable. Apart from good connectivity features the device also supports GPS. The 5 mega pixel camera of the device works wonderfully well and is capable of clicking good quality photographs.
Blackberry Bold Touch is an excellent device that meets the requirements of all kinds of users. The device keeps all the Blackberry features intact and doesn’t disappoint touchscreen users either. The device is one of the best touchscreen devices launched by the  company .
